16th birth day present: 1990 proof birth year set
For my 16th birthday my grandpa, kcnovice on the fourms, gave me a 1990 proof birth year set all PF69 set in an african ebony wood frame he made for them. here are some pics.

I went to the Lenexa, Kansas coin show and bought a proof silver eagle to add to my set, hope it comes back PF69 to keep it consistant lol.
Just sent it in to PCGS today (10/18/06) hope it comes back PF69.

well I just wanted to make my 1st topic post and my first coin set seemed fitting lol.

A coin or set of coins makes a wonderful gift doesn't it. Especially with a personal touch.

<< <i>That would be sweet, how hard do you think it would be to find one in the pf69 range? >>
Fairly difficult. And it would cost over $10K for one from PCGS (DCAM) or NGC (Ultra Cam). A very rare coin, I've seen published estimates of 150 - 200 known. I know, it's not the holy grail of Lincoln cents, but it's still very difficult to find and very valuable. Even though some people would call it modern crap.
Happy birthday and what a great present!
