<< <i>The mint posted the same announcement for the Gold set, and now the two piece set. It has not been posted for the 3 pc silver set. Why are so many so sure that the 3 pc silver set has been over subscribed. In another thread when I suggested that the demand was not there for the 250,000 3 pc silver set several members jumped in saying it was sold out. The evidence does not suggest so. >>
I agree, the silver sets are NOT sold out. THe mint put this notice up on both the AGE and the 2 coin set now. Most orders for the AGE set that were placed before the notice went up were delivered. A notice like this will likely appear soon on the 3 silver set because I am bet they will sell out soon.
When individual Reverse Proof and W-mintmarked coins are released in the future, they may qualify under the First Strike program but not for the 20th Anniversary Set designation. Guidance for these coins will be developed as more information becomes available.
As I read this,
Seems there was some advantage to buying the two coin set since you won't be able to get the singles labeled as 20th annv. sets.

what's the advantage of something being labeled as from the anniv set ? I guess if you value First Strike you'd value which box things came from...
Well, I did say "some" advantage.
In the future, if you were ever to sell the set you can verify that it was a 20th Annv. Set and not one pieced together, I guess. I ahve never been a big promoter of these type of label, ie First Strike but they do demand a premium in the market place regardless of the perceptions.
