Speak to me of loved ones, favorite places and things, loves lost and gained, tears shed for joy and sorrow, of when I see the sparkle in your eye ...

Nice coins/pics! How does the burnished coin compare with a standard 06 SAE?

In my opinion it is identical to the standard. I looked at it next to a 2004 under 10x and the difference in finish appears to be nothing more than marketing.

Maybe its just me but to me the reverse proof looks like a cheap knock off of a Britannia. This coin is almost as ugly as the gold reverse proof but didn't make me gag quite as much.

Thanks so much for posting the pics. Now I'm not so tempted to open the case.

At first glance the ASE RP looks better than did the AGE RP. What do think in hand?

Edit: put "no" instead of "now". Need more coffee..... image

Too bad the box doesn't look as good as the AGE 3pc set box image

I agree. The silver reverse proof looks sharp. The gold reverse does nothing for me.

    Those are great looking coins.

The reverse on that reverse proof looks like the eagle is just flying off the coin's surface. Get it, flying. Har har.

I think it's interesting that the mint made the reverse PROOF in Philly while the other two coins are from Westpoint.

Gentlemen, we have a winner. That RP SAE is going to be a 'must have coin' for any SAE collector, period.

The reverse side of the reverse proof is so awesome -- the eagle and the shield on it are really impressive.

Great pics of the whole spectrum -- thanks!

Right thought there Dude..The silver RP is much nicer than the gold..Will the silver 3pc set be the real sleeper this season ? The silver RP the real treasure ?..

While I do respect our forum mothership grading service these are staying as delivered in their fine U.S. Mint packaging! Honestly, since I'm not into the FirstShipped™ thing IF I ever decided to slab a set, those NGC multi-holders would be my personal preference.

Maybe someday if the milk-spot problem is solved. I like the Mint box though image.

xbob...thanks for sharing your pics with everyone. You might have just swayed me towards keeping my sets in their original mint packaging...at least for a while. I

I really wish PCGS would get off their butts and offer a good mult-coin holder service...that way we don't have to send coins off to NGC. Generally speaking, we all know that PCGS holdered coins bring more than NGC. I'd hate like hell to nail some 70's in a multi-holder at NGC and then wonder for the rest of my life if they would have 70'd at PCGS! Arrrrgggghhh.

I've read here that set were delivered FedEx. Mine show USPS Priority Registered with a Parcial Post tracking number (which doesn't work by the way). I am hoping for USPS as the FedEx labels don't show my townhouse number.

Anyone else get their's yet via USPS?
