Kennedy half question- Russ
I have a 2000-P Kennedy Half and the head looks a lot smaller that prior years.
Is this a known design change or an optical illusion or am I losing it?
Can you help me?

Yes.

I am looking through $500 in halves. I think they changed the design in the 1990's to a smaller head Kennedy. All of the newer ones seem to be smaller heads, or at least the neck truncation does not go as far down to the date as in the earlier years. Just 2 40% silver halves in 1000 coins!
Thank you for answering.

Yep, they changed to spaghetti head in 1991.

Originally I went to the bank & got the branch's only roll....that contained a 1964 and three 40% silvers.
That was the reason I went for $500 worth, but the big search was not very satisfying.
Thank you Russ for the info. Shrunken head Kennedy sounds better than spaghetti head.

Leap- I use to spend them when I finished searching through them, that is, until the sheriffs showed up at my house one night. I also stopped going to Subway resturants.
