Has anyone ever heard of numismatists Michael Storeim and Richard Melamed?

Does anyone know their background? Their names sound familiar. Do they do catalog work for the Cousins Goldberg?

Storeim is under investigation in the Coingate scandal. I recognize the other name as well but can't
    place it.

Michael Storeim is somehow involved in the Ohio scandal. If I recall it was reported that some of the coins were stolen from his house with a bunch of cigars or something like that.

    They were partners.

To give you an example of how these guys operate: Over a period of a couple of years, I financed millions of dollars of purchases from them. Then they got a pop 1/0 trade dollar I needed and they tried to ram it where the sun don't shine. I countered with an offer of 25% more than was paid for a very similar coin less than a year ago and they declined. They then proceded to sell the coin elsewhere for less than my offer just to spite me.

With gentlemen like this to do business with - who needs enemies?

I had one of them crack an MS-64 bust dollar for me years ago when he was working for a company. He argued with me that I was crazy and that it would come back in a 63 holder and that I should just sell it to him. I told him simply to humor me, crack it, submit it and that would be that, that I didn't want to sell it. ( I paid 30K for it and sold it to a well known specialist for 33K who bought it from me after I told him I thought it would upgrade )

Came back in a 65 holder.

Yes and yes, and both of those guys are arguably two of the twenty best graders in the world today.
