1867 3 cent silver coins

For a wedding gift my younger brother gave me his collection of 1867 3 cent silver pieces. I now own 1% of them. They are all pcgs graded PR63-65 One is in an older case, like a 1986 case. With the collection he gave me the 3 cent stamp in perfect condition and then 5 -3 cent notes. I will try n post pics... He wants me to sell it all to pay for the big wedding I had but I dont think I will sell them?

That's an amazing gift! I'm jealous. It would be great to see photos of them.

Ironically enough, I just got my hands on a beautiful 1867 Proof 3CS (PF 65 Cameo; although Cameo is not designated on this older NGC holder). Please pardon my poor photo setup. The cameo frost is actually pretty nice in hand and the mirrors are equally nice. This is B-3 according to Breen; Normal Date which he presumes is rarer (but who knows).

Sounds like a heck of a gift. Prethen, your '67 trime is a glittering little gem - cool stuff.

I think in the name of getting it into a higher holder, you should crack it out and judiciously buff it. After all, as googliemargulee states over in sleepy hollow - who's to say "what's original?"
