This is one of my favorites, I found it with a metal detector in Salem NJ, embedded on the inside foundation between two bricks, it's Maris 48-G, I think:
looks like an O with die breaks that make it look like a non existant D
Family, kids, coins, sports (playing not watching), jet skiing, wakeboarding, Big Air....no one ever got hurt in the air....its the sudden stop that hurts. I hate Hurricane Sandy. I hate FEMA and i hate the blasted insurance companies.

Unfortunately, no history besides I picked it up at a tax preparation/coin shop in a small town in Indiana. Cost me a whole $2.50, he threw in the half dime because it was broke
Only Thaler I could afford, very rare in vf grade and above 1891 seated dime is a metal detector find 1912 barber dime is a metal detector find-hit this one with a screwdriver while probing the ground for it

They're junk to most collectors... 2005 P Oregon ... the one on the right has a die crack under the chin while the one on the left has something going on with they eye... definitely different and probably junk by most collector's standards...
But I enjoy finding weird stuff like this on coins.
