You mean like "mom, you're fat, old and ugly. Why don't you disappear so I can spend my money on cards instead of your prescription medication?" That's being a straight shooter. Sometimes a little tact can go a long way. It's common sense.
Incidentally, the quote above is in no way directed at my mom or anyone elses mother. It's simply an example of shooting straight from the hip with zero tact.

Well, when me and my friends get together, we always enjoy hearing a descenting opinon.
