Dont EVER do 24 hour auctions.
I had 2 dozen cards all set up and ready to go in my turbo lister last night when I realized that since I will be going away next week I couldnt do a regular time length. I still needed some extra $$ for the trip, so I figured, try the 24 hr auctions.....well, they ended tonight and I took a first class, no lube, bend over and take it job. Big time losses throughout. I suppose 24 hrs isnt enough time for any potentially interested bidders to find the cards in a search. Lesson learned for me, dont make the same mistake I did

But seriously, yeah those 24 hr. auctions are where I make a stealing at.
I also don't agree with Rich, yeah you MIGHT sell the item, but you'll lose so much traffic that your really only making out if it's for a non popular player.

I see your point, but at least you don't risk losing alot. As far as I'm concerned, if someone can't place a bid for my minimum sell price, I rather not get a bid at all.

And regardless, calling someone out as not being smart enough is once again your low class, or better yet, NO class way of dealing with the rest of humanity. Something you obviously have lost touch with long ago since you decided to move out into the woods and stay clear of human beings.

I understand that you needed the money and made this mistake. However, to come here complaining and talking about "no lube and bend over and take it job" is uncalled for. If you start an auction for a LOW opening bid and only make it last 24 hours, what did you expect. I simply gave my opinion. Instead of taking it with a grain of salt, you instead take offense for it. Like I said earlier......if you're not willing to take criticism for a thread that you started......you should not have started it in the first place. What did you expect me to say.....sorry you got screwed, and thanks for the advice?

I always work backwards and make a calendar of when to start auctions
so I know I'll have 7 days for them to end in and then another 10 days to receive payment and get the crap mailed out in.
Seems to make life a lot easier if one is planning to leave town ...

constructive criticism in most peoples world does not have to consist of calling someone not smart. Frankly I started the post in a rather self depricating way, to poke fun at myself and make some light of a terrible night on ebay. It really wasnt all that big a deal, and certainly not something to call someone's intelligence out over. Someone like you just couldnt understand the nature of the post, or how humor can be found in it, or at least some class.

Did you think that your snide comment to bri was really necessary? It's obvious that he realizes that he made a mistake listing these 1-day auctions, but no, you have to pile on and kick him when he's down. That's low class and uncalled for. But then what else should anyone expect from a clown like you who forces an elderly customer to hitch a ride with a stranger to fill a prescription even though you were rigtht there at the store because it was your day off! i thought i explained that first, the post was more to poke fun of myself, second, that I had a reason for not starting at the minimum price I would accept, and 3rd, its not so much your opinion i didnt like, its just you in general that I dont like.

Can't you read? If so, check the thread from the start. He started the thread and I gave a simple reply. Why can't I reply to a thread? If he wasn't prepared to have someone agree with his assesment of him being an idiot for making the mistake he made then he should not have started the thread in the first place. He got mad at my reply to his thread which lead to the arguement. With this said, you never answered my question.....why do you think people care about what you have to say?

If you only knew how many threads you post where there is ample opportunity to call you out. I do not and have not chosen to any chance I get. Id never get anything done in my life if I took every chance there is to call you out. Your gut feeling should tell you that you would never start a thread poking fun of yourself because you are too high on yourself to ever do such a normal and human thing.
