Dang it Dave, you were too quick for me!

It might have been the finest known when it was slabbed but it now has 7 siblings and 4 older brothers!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Yeah but the nice girl is sitting behind the coins.
Should make several people here happy again.

There is a lot of history there....don't ask.

I remember the threads, Laura kept defending Blue Moon. I had just never seen that slab before and figured I would ask here.

    Thanks everyone,

The regency holders were available for a time from PCGS for an extra fee. You could also add some text (note the last two lines of text beginning with DDR finest known - this text was all chosen by the submittor). I have heard they were shipped inside a black pouch holder, but I cannot confirm that as I have never seen a pouch holder.

The slab is allmost as rare as the coin.
But in my mind neither are rare enouph for that kind of price.

Why does she have a cell phone glued to the side of her face?

Is Finest Known like Finest Stirke?
  • Barry...this seller listed this coin before. The 'finest known' simply refers to it being the finest known in that particular (being the Regency) holder, nothing more. Just Bluemoon's way of justifying the price.

i'd wager the young woman in the auction is on the cusp of 30 and a bit older than most of you think. whatever her age she's a much better rep for the company than the old guy who just couldn't seem to finish that book!!!

They say fall blowout right below the girl. They also say the item must go. What's the blowout inferring? Which item must go, the coin or the girl? LOL I'm sure she would have a couple takers here on the boards! Good luck!

I think the big story here is that BlueMoonCoins has changed their picture. Once they lost our favorite person from their prior photo that got so much attention here, they had to find a replacement. In just a few hours, I'll bet we start seeing, "Oh great, another BMC thread". Yes, they are so well known here we can refer to them as BMC.

I saw a Regency holder sample slab a few years ago at Long Beach. It wasn't for sale but drew so much attention and offers they pulled it from the case after a day or so.

You're looking at a coin when there's a smokin' hotty like that one on the page!?

The cel phone glued to her face is so you don't kill yourself lifting a receiver 600 times a day. My bluetooth headset died and I thought my arm was going to fall off at the end of the day.

She is, after all, somebody's daughter.

BMC has a real bad rep over here... Great christmas cards, though image

Keets- the old fart wasn't actually reading the book. He was taking a Barney Fife nap.

Philosophical question: If the slab says "finest known" on it and you know it's NOW provably false, is it keyword spamming to use those words in the title?

That's how it is at BMC.

It may have never been true. If you paid for the regency slab you could put anything on those two lines, so they could have said finest known even if it wasn't.

If that were to come on the market, it would set a new record for a sample slab. The only sample slab that might bring more would be a first generation NGC sample slab. If they exist.
