That's why I would go ahead and try this with a bodybagger. Yours obviously had a very deep scratch on the reverse and you had nothing to loose. Looks "natural" and much better then oven baking etc.

The scratch is just deep enough to keep it out of a slab. Your right though, I had nothing to lose after picture 2. I really don't see how this is any different than using a Wayte Raymond Album to tone coins.

When my wife does more than one load of clothes in the washer, we get some seriously reeky sulfur water out of the well.
Now, somebody will have to try the white Mickey D's napkins versus yellow Wendy's napkins versus brown Taco Bell napkins. I'll bet the brown ones work best.
I also predict Taco Bell will have a small increase in business from the numismatic community.

I don't see this being considered AT because technically you haven't "done" anything unnatural to it at all.
If it gets bagged, more than likely it will be due to that nasty scratch that some FOOL inflicted on it.
No matter what, scratch or not, the coin is still of value numismatically.
