I think that the Isabella is one of the most beautiful US coins of all time.
John Sinnock was actually one of the best medal designers our country ever saw. MUCH of his work was used throughout the country - he designed a large number of medals for the military, colleges and universities, and organizations. To add, he was also an excellent painter, pencil artist, and cartoonist. He also designed stained glass and did some excellent block engraving. Far more talent than any one person I've seen before.

USAF veteran, 1986-1996 :: support our troops - the American way.
This is also a very ironic piece. Barber designed the obverse, but Morgan designed the reverse.
Strange how two feuding artists' work was combined on the same medal.
I think Barber did a good job on the Roosevelt bust on this one.
<< <i>I had one of those medals a few months ago (sold it on eBay). It is a neat piece.

Well, that explains why I like the reverse better. I have always loved everything George Morgan designed.
