100% of my "main" collection is slabbed.

100% of my "odds & ends / world coins" collection is raw.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

All raw now. They weren't all bought that way though.
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

100% raw, although like OKBustchaser, they weren't all purchased raw.

Of course NGC/PCGS registry set seated dimes are slabbed. Balance of plate coins within the www.seateddimevarieties.com web-book are estimated to be 20% slabbed/80% raw. It makes no sense to me to slab AU and lower grade dimes unless they are rare dates. Accurately graded coins sell themselves when the time comes.

Around 98 or 99% raw. The slabs are just because the coin was bought that way and I don't remove them.

  • As a percentage of the number of coins, about 95% raw, 5% slabbed. As a percentage of 'value', I would guess 60/40.

Are you referring to value or number of coins? My answers are very different depending on your intent...

I'd guess 95%+ of my coins are raw, but 90%+ of the value is in certified.

100% Morgans (61 actual coins) slabbed.

Everything else (100's of US & foreign coins) raw.

    Um... Percentage wise? No clue.

    95% raw, 5% slabbed.

    All gold coins are slabbed.

Ten or so type coins slabbed.

    The rest in albums.
  • oh . . about 75% slabbed.
  • CoxeCoxe Posts: 11,139
Around 90% slabbed, all PCGS, NGC and ANACS except for a handful of rogue ICGs. Personally, I like my coins raw but if I want to sell or trade and they are not slabbed, I either have to take a lesser deal or pay to have them reencapsulated. Since I avoid problem coins, this is what I end up with. When I resume my early copper fetish, they'll be mostly bare nekkid ones.

99% of the value of my collection is slabbd, but 99% of my total number of coins is raw. Ergo the good stuff, is slabbed, all by PCGS.

Rough estimate by sheer numbers, 40% slabbed, 60% raw. By value 75% slabbed 25% raw.

Most of the raw stuff that amounts to anything are 19th century poltical tokens and medalets. I also have some medals that now might becoming more valuable. I've not checked the auction resaults in a while.

Except for a handful that are either at PCGS now or are about ready to go in, most of the rest are raw Mercuries and Walkers bought for my Dansco books.
