I like toning on silver coins. Morgans are especially nice if they are fully toned on the obverse and yet you can see the luster under the toning, trying to break through. I also like toning on Bust halves, SL halves and PR barber halves. Any fully toned obverse coin with at least partial reverse toning is a plus for me to own while I'm around.
Thanks for the chance KC! As a lincoln collector, I love the different colors that can appear on the copper. For example, I think my favorite coin of all time has to be codhk's (sp?) avatar... you know that BEAUTIFUL purple Lincoln... *drool*
Hopefully this isn't too late. I liked neat toned coins because even non-collectors go nuts over the colors. It's hard not to like a vivid rainbow, whether you collect or not.
