I found a damaged AG 1944 P War Nickel just today. The oldest coin I found in circulation was a shield nickel that I got in change from a vending machine a few years ago.

I keep getting these funny looking gold coins with dates in the 1800's but I keep on putting them back in vending machines.
    Just kidding of course.
I find almost all Jefferson Nickels in bags of Nickels from the bank. I actually completely filled 5 sets like that. I have 3 more sets not quite complete yet but will keep on going though stuff from the bank for the rest.

If you got that in 1920 then that deserves an "Atta-Boy"

If you got it within the past 20 years then..................YOU SUCK............BIG TIME!

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Do you have a time period in mind? I mean us elder collectors had fun finding stuff long ago. I think my best find was 1924 D Lincoln in G-AG. It still resides 40 years later in my Capital Plastic Board collection.

If your talking recently, I did find a 1941 DDO in a half roll of Lincolns I collected over the last 30+ years.

Found a 1954-D Jefferson that would grade MS64 or 65 with ZERO steps. Still an amazing find.

Found a full red 1960 Canadian cent last year that I would grade MS64.

Lately, I have found a 1919 penny, a red MS62/63 1942-D penny and almost all of the different mint nickels from 1938-1959!

My officemate just found a 1944 quarter out of the vendng machine. I've never seen silver come out of circulation myself so I thought it was kinda neet.

Got from a minimart a month or so ago. Nothing special but still cool to get a nice strike-thru 1948 lincoln in this condition as change.

I got a 1964 dime Tuesday in change at Starbucks "mini" (within Target).

I used to find silver dimes and wheat cents about once a month in the coinstar change return until they upgraded their machines.
