Is that a new 7070? I thought you had the one with 4 holes for commems? I thought that was cool, it gave you the ability to make a mini commem set.

edited: d'oh, I wrote this before I *really* looked, I keep thinking all the commems are at the end, but I see the 4 half dollar commem holes now. One more reason I think your set is cool is you picked a theme for those 4 spots (I think it was you?). US History - discovery, colonization, expansion, and, uh, what's that 4th one represent again?

As always that's an awesome set and an inspiration to type collectors. My favorites on your set are the Draped Bust 1/2 cent and cent and of course the gold page. Maybe you could post your closeups of everything again.

My Type Set is coming along pretty good. I added the 1913 T1 Buffalo today and I'm putting all Proofs (silver proofs if available) on the page with the Bicentennials. That page is looking really nice.

I have considered doing something like this and have about 9-10 good slabbed types. Would I be nuts to crack them out of the slabs to put them in a dansco? I like them in slabs but with a dansco there's some organization and a small explanation of each.

Ahh good Idea. I have a type 1 1913 buffalo and 1938 buf both in MS66 and have a gold tone. Don't know if I would want to crack those two out or get two different ones.

If so, then I'm certifiable. Almost all of the coins in this set were released from various ugly, bulky, and viewing and photography-limiting grading opinion holders.

Baley..nice set..if you don't mind me asking...what's the average grade in your complete set and about how long did it take you to do? BTW...I love your Draped Bust and Classic Head Large cents.

Thanks everyone, this project was started waay back when I was a YN of 10 years old, with a 20th century set and the Barbers were Goods, all the way up to proofs for the modern clad coins. Took the usual break from coin collecting from age 14 to about 30, (spending money on other things

completely missed the boom and bust of 1989, was a junior at UCLA that year.) Anyway, picked it up in ernest about 1999, when finally had some cash from the stock boom to upgrade the newer coins and acquire the tougher older types, bought this album in about 2002, filled the rest of the holes i think by '04, and have selectively upgraded since, although it's been a while since I changed a coin. The average grade now is Unc. with a range from EF through high proof.
