As much as I love the coins, the thrill of the hunt, the history and the art, by far the greatest enjoyment I derive from this hobby is the fantastic people that the hobby attracts. It has been my great privilege to meet some of the finest people through this hobby, and it is those relationships that mean the most to me.

1.All that except I don't like to hunt, don't care for history, don't apprciate art, don't like the people this attracts. Other than that, I agree with the above.
    2. I like money
    3. I like lots of Money.
    4. The ability of threads like this not being in the general
    discussions forum where they belong.
    5. I like money.

    1. Looking for that special coin and adding it to my collection.
    2. Reading/Researching/Looking up information on the coins I collect. Even coins I don't collect have interesting histories that I enjoy reading about.
    3. This website.

There may be others, but those are top 3.
Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!

I thought for a while about your question. I think the single thing I enjoy the most is the shared enthusiasm between like minded collectors. There are about a thousand other parts/things I enjoy but without being able to talk about it to someone who actually appreciates it or vice versa, the hobby would be much less to me.

I enjoy meeting other collectors, learning more about the coins and their history, and indeed, this message board.

The things I like least are grading, and the intense focus on money.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

I love the more classic coin designs and love the true art of their design. So many "kids" now only know coins with dead presidents on them. I am saving our coin history and will pass it on to the next generation. Plus they are WAY COOL to call my own for a time !!!!!!!!!

    Art, history.

    Least enjoyable:

The whole grading thing. A tiresome, tedious game that we all have to play to some extent in order
    to collect.

History is the big thing for me. That's why I can enjoy a common date almost as much as something that is much rarer.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
