Sometimes taking a gamble just doesn't pay off.....
I guess that's why it's called a gamble. I knew the coin wouldn't look like the sellers pic, but I had no idea I would be buying the
ugliest toned 21 morgan in my collection.

I'd say crack it out and dip it, but it looks like the toning is all that's holding it together

I'd dip it too but I'm afraid it would still be a fugly coin. Give it a shot.......
<< <i>I am surprised they holdered that coin with that huge obverse scratch. >>
My thoughts also and it is a big deep scratch, IMO.
I do believe itza a VAM ???................looks like it has a die gouge in the T of Liberty.

And the obverse scratch makes removing it from the holder and doing anything to it too risky.
I think that purple slab should have been a hint. The image has obviously been juiced to make the coin appear more colorful than it is.

<< <i>the seller's image shows a much fuglier coin that your image portrays. Why would you buy it from the seller's image?
I knew the coin would look nothing like the pic, figured the seller may not know anything about taking pics,
turns out I'm the one that needs to take "interperting pics 101" over again.

What were you thinking? (I say scratching my temple)... What was it in that photo that suggested that this coin might be better in-hand?? At least with Heritage, I see a little blue peaking out on an edge or something, but the seller's pictures just go BLAH.

as in, its hard to find a nicely toned 1921 Morgan. This one isn't it, but it's rare to find one? Yeah, I can see how that might get your attention....
