NGC Imaging Service pales in comparison to PCGS
I thought I would try NGC imaging service on a batch I sent in last month (before the price increase) just to see how they would come out.
Unforutnately, even I can take a better picture and I certainly won't be paying the new higher price for the service

That's pretty bad. I'm sure the contributing factor is that the coins are photographed in the slab.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
<< <i>How cute, they scanned them for you.
How true!
NGC probably just hired off the street or through a normal job opening rather than looking for someone to pay the right amount to and get good quality.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Not even. They're not photos, they're scans. Sit a co-op down with a computer, a box of coins and an $80 scanner and show them which button to push.

My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
I concur. They really shouldn't even be charging for a service like that. Take the coin to kinkos and pay a buck or two and get the same thing or use your computer/scanner at home.
Pcgs prolly spent more than 12 bucks for that !
Hint,passport service...

A partial truth. NGC's Photoproof is not really all that good for many coins [especially toned coins] .... and they know it. NGC intends to come out with a better service in the near future [according to Scott Schechter].
