Dahlonega gold enthusiasts

Do any of you own or ever even seen any Templeton Reid coinage. Apparently the coins were slightly lighter but had a higher gold content.

The only Templeton Reid coin I have ever seen is the $2 1/2 coin at the Dahlonega gold museum display. I don't recall ever seeing any offered at any auctions.

Let me add to the plug. At the Southern Gold Society meeting at the GNA last year Rad Stearns did a presentation on T Reid and there were a couple of pieces available for all of us to play with. Just another reason to join if you have an interest. You get to play with some great toys.image

It took me 26 years to realize it but that's where my wife and kids will always leave me alone! image

    Back to the crapper...

It's the first place the kids look for me. They are four and seven, and there are no boundaries. image

    Fatman:

Thanks for the pics - sure would love to have the opportunity to own one some day but don't think it will happen in this life time. image
