I have not looked thru that 10 rolls, but I agree the quality control appears to be terrible this year.....

Can't speak to the bag marks, but the large area is weirdly similar to what has been going on with the sun in the past few years.

Mayby there is an issue with flow, I wonder if the die pressure is insufficient?

Everyone of the areas i circled are speckled, Coin after coin, the circle all the way to the left is a bag mark.
The rev is just as bad. Looks like the coins were struck through Die polish or greese.

Looks like they cleaned up the sun but ucked up the rest of the coin. This is totally unacceptable how come you dont see crap like this coming from the RCM?

I looked a few of these the other day too... has anyone noticed that the luster/finish seems very inconsistant across the surfaces?

One the ones I looked at, all appeared to have a mirror-like finish over the torso region on the obverse, but a satin finish in the surrounding fields.

    Weird!

Just slab 'em and in a year or two those ugly bag marks will be all covered up by beautiful milk spots. image

Man, I must have gotten some first strikes then, my coins look amazing. They almost look like a special satin finish was used. I got a box of them from my bullion dealer, but just looked at a few from the first roll and they look magnificent. I will try and photo some later.

    "HUGE money for the MS70s!!!"

Unless you are for some reason in love with this issue, I would find some other place to put my money. Milkspots can not be predicted and a significant percent of mine have them (20%). So, if you let go of megabuks and ignore your wallet alarm and shop for the elusive ms 69/70 then you have to stay up nights worrying about the milk spot disease coming to your coin. The milk spots render the coin as bullion, no longer collectible and there seems to be no way to predict or cure the disease.

Looked at some at my local dealer and had to pass. They not only had those ugly speckles but also had a milky haze of 55% of the obverse. image I was hoping he had just gotten a bad batch but it don't look like it now!

I feel your pain! 40% of my PCGS MS69 1986-2005 set developed milk spots in the slabs. Caveat Emptor!!!! I'll never buy or slab another. image

I have a set in a Dansco and they are toning but no milky spots, just a nice golden hue on the 86 to 92's the others are still blast white.

I have looked at the first 5 of the roll I got and they look very good. I have heard that there may be some "errors" due to pressure faults (as someone stated)

I have to agree. I just received a roll and they look awesome. Luster is very brilliant and I don't have any bag marks or specs to speak of....
