  My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009.   65RD. Beautiful coin but some obvious strike weakness in the ATES of STATES and some mellowing of the reverse. Looks like it was stored in a drawer face up for many years? Great coin and great photography.
