I will be there, Thurs thru Sat. I will bring a complete set of MS lib nickels in GPA 66. Hope to set them up at a table(?), but they will be somewhere.

If there are any lib nickel collectors, try to find them as there is an 1885 in MS 67 among the group.

  • BarryBarry Posts: 10,100 ✭✭✭
Barry "the eye" may not get there if the snowstorm they are now talking about really happens.

BTW, Bob, do you check your PMs? I've sent you a couple over the last few weeks with no response...

Snow is for wimps. Snow should not stop anyone from attending a great coin show such as this one coming up.

Hoping to get down there for Friday. The one potential problem: we may have snow coming in New York. It is a long enough drive as it is.

I plan on being there Friday...unless we get the 6 - 12 inches of snow they will be calling for Thursday night/Friday morning.

Nobody's stopping anyone from flying into town instead of driving.

Amtrak or MARC is also a possible alternative to driving.

    oreville,

With the price of fuel these days and the toll fees of the east coast, is it actually cheaper to drive than fly? Southwest Airlines often has some very affordable last minute fares into BWI.

For the people of California flying is the cheaper alternative to driving when travelling between Southern and Northern California.

WTCG: I am going down with another coin collector. That does help.

I have a slight fear of flying.

    oreville,

Is Amtrak a viable alternative for you? Trains aren't affected by snowfall like cars are.

  • I'm in Sacramento, CA, so I can't really drive to the show. I have already made a commitment to myself that I will attend this show some time next year!

For those of you who have been to the Baltimore show in the past, how does it compare in size to Santa Clara or Long Beach?

By size alone Baltimore is larger than Santa Clara but smaller than Long Beach. The largest coin show by size is usually the FUN show, since the summer ANA fluctuates in size yearly.
