The Fungus just pointed this one out, so I pulled the trigger!

1901 Greyside quarter, ICCS VF-20

The Mushroom Man has a good eye for Greyside, and I needed the quarter for my daughter's 1901 Victorian type set. Thanks, Don! image

Wish there was a reverse picture, but it looks conservatively graded.

    You're welcome Rob.

I really, really, like the original look of the coin. And you can't beat ICCS grading.

I have a Greyside 20c piece that looks kinda like that. Of course it ain't a 1901. And it's been, umm... ventilated at the top... image

This is the PC way of saying it has a great big old hole in it.image

    No, a nice, tidy hole.

Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat; it is Holey Coin Vest hole, and that means comfort.

There are holes and holes. There are attempted holes. There are nicely done holes. We could even make a grading scale for holed coins alone.

The more I look at that coin the more I like it. If LM hadn't gotten it for Little Victoria's set I would have grabbed it.
