I'm not very fond of Washington quarters or Jefferson nickels. That's just another thing that's great about this hobby, there are plenty of collectors who them as much as I early commems.
I've always thought Barbers look like a woman on steroids and the Morgans were too common to be interesting. Tiny coins are a turn off too - especially the 3c pieces.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose, Cardinal.
I like nearly all SILVER coins, but I just don't like 20th Century Indian gold coins. I really, really, really like the indian cent and most 19th century coins.
Morgan dollars are nice coins and I like them, but there are so many of them I sometimes get sick of seeing them. The same can be said for Saints. Gorgeous coins, but if you went to a coin show and all the Morgans or Saints suddenly disappeared into thin air there would be a helluva lot of empty or near-empty dealer cases in the room.
Go to most major shows and you will see more Morgans and Saints than anything else. I imagine the grading services get tired of seeing them, too.
Well, okay, maybe it's just me.
Mind you, I wouldn't mind seeing just one or two Saints in my own cases about now- it's been a while since I had any.

I hate to be a party pooper, but most of them do nothing for me as far as their design goes. If I had to collect strictly out of the aesthetics of art, it would be Standing Liberty Quarters, Indian Half Eagles, Indian Eagles, and classic commems. The rest are just coins...take-em or leave-em. That includes Lincoln cents.
Forty years I despised Barbers. Now I l collect Barber quarters and can really appreciate a beautiful specimen. Thirty years ago I couldn't stand Washington's then it became my second favorite design and I collected them for years. Same for $20 liberty gold. I would only collect Saint's then 15-20 years ago I am at a show and see a $20 lib I bought and it all changed. Now I only collect gold in $20 liberties. Same for commems. Moral of the story, it's just possible some of you may be eating your words one day. There is one coin that doesn't cut it with me, three cent pieces. The most gorgeous design? SLQ Type 1. I think 99% of you would agree with me on that one.

I just don't like worn down or weakly struck coins where I can't make out all the details.

If I had to pick one as the worst its the Barber because let's face it, that's either a dude or an East German female athlete, circa 1980's.

Morgans never did it for me as far as the classics go. For moderns it's a tie between the Ike & SBA.
