One AMAZING Saint!!
This 1924-S was bought by David Akers about 20 years ago for the Steven Duckor collection. What you see is a deep apricot toning bolder than any I have seen. It is 100% natural. It's a MS64, but David has always said it deserves to be a MS65. I recently got this from Steve, as he purchased the 1924-S MS65 POP2/2 in the Morse sale.
The picture is very accurate. There is no rub and very few pinpoint ticks on the obverse. Unfortunately, because the surface is so complex, it's hard to see how nice this coin really is, but it's one that I am very happy to now own! Perhaps one day it will reside in a 65 holder...it deserves to.

Morse backed that up.

The Morse coinMS65 went for 85K hammer and was considered "cheap" by many of the dealers!
OK...here's the Morse MS671924 but it's just not in the same league as this. There are many of them although it is a wonderful looking coin...I wouldn't have bothered had it not been so colorful.
Every time you post a picture of one of your coins I always go into my collection and pull out my lone gold coin (1880 $5 Half-Eagle) and admire it and realize how grateful I am to have it.
Now post more nice pics.
<< <i>Russ...I could have mede it smaller, but it takes away from the look. >>
I didn't say you should make them smaller. I said you should stack them, like this:

I have it done for me. Sorry, chum.
You simply have to give that 1924 to me when I can afford it!
My daughter will be out of graduate school by the time your daughter enters College. When your daughter finishes grad school, you can have it back!
By the way that 1924-S is simply incredible and has awesome character!! I love it!!!
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”
