NEWP: First Half Cent! Thanks Carl!

ddbirdddbird Posts: 3,168 ✭✭✭
Can't wait to get this one in hand. I've been looking for a pretty little half cent with slight color for a long time. Thanks Carl for helping make this a possibility!

Its in an NCG holder...feel free to guess the grade. I wont wait too long to post it.

That's a very nice coin but that for me is tough to grade. Looks like a slider. I'll guess NGC graded it 63...Mike

well it is not ms64. i can see a few ticks that stand out. cheek area.

my hardest problem is determining any luster on that little guy.

    ms62

changed my mind. edited to add ms63.

Well told you it would be short..Im off to my game for now.

NGC graded it as a 62BN. Id be willing to bet it would be higher if it werent for the ticks, but overall I felt they let me get a nicer coin for my budget, and didnt find them to be distracting.

    Thanks

"Great" looking piece of Copper. I was going to go with 62 BN. Very nice "Eye Appeal"! Congrat's

Oops, I didnt know you revealed the grade. I was going to say AU55. It looks like there is wear on the hair, but I guess it is just a weak strike. I think I read earlier today that the services dont know how to grade these?

Nice pickup Dan ... that looks like a great 28 with a nice early die state and a worthwhile stike. Very good choice! image
