Help with EBay

I am trying to contact them reguarding a problem I am having, however their crappy automated email system keeps sending me the same message in return that has NOTHING to do with my original email. I have tried this 3 times. Does anyone know a phone number that they can be reached at, or something other then their automated email system?

e-bay is fine untill you run into a problem.I have been ripped off on ebay once to the tune of 1700.00 i am still trying to get something back from them.all I buy from ebay is coins that I can p.u. and in my area.There is no number to call cust service sucks and it is chock full of scammers (I started the process in june of this year)

the problem is my account is suspended... due to some dickhead screwing me. long story... but basically he changed his payment plan (he also had no feedback) and it sounded suspicios... well, he had the time to file 76 unpaid item complaints on me... and i dont have the time to argue them... so they suspended my account. Well, its been so long ago, I cant appeal the item because EBay no longer recognizes the item number... and Im getting ran in circles. Being in Korea I need my ebay account to purchase parts for my new engine.

oh yeah... i use car forums most of the time... but for things that are almost impossible to come by, i have to resort to ebay.

I think you will find most business and large corporations who resort to automated operators are all very good at one thing : Getting your money without giving you Service. This is not new and it is not bound to stop anytime soon. My suggestion is to contact someone in your outfit or company or whereever you are and use their account to bid for your needed parts.

Ebay is like gasoline..... it has become a necessary evil in the world of commerce. Unfortunately, the system can be abused and often is without protection for the common folks..... that is why there are CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS. (too bad we click that box that says " I agree" without reading everything, huh ?)

I have been sold four counterfiets. Two $5 Indian Gold, One Trade Dollar and One Seated Liberty Dollar. I can tell you now, there is no recourse. Not even the FBI has jurisdiction with regard to ebay. If you want to pass illegal things, ebay is the place.... just don't say "animal skin" when selling "Bearskin Rugs"....PETA will get you LIFE in PRISON

..... I wish there was something I could tell you but the old cliche comes to mind :

it was some state quarters... and he didnt have paypal as a payment method. He was new to ebay, explained all of that in his auctions... and i contacted him about purchasing all of the quarters for a set price with shipping, and he agreed. Well, after I purchased them all, he then refused to take paypal... and wanted a money order or cashiers check... which was when i said... nope, thats fishy. well, he sat there and filed all of the complaints, and i work 60+ hours a week, and didnt have time to sit there and argue each one.

you can tell me my story smells all you want, i have no reason to lie to you guys... look at the feedback he left me and my responses. I know what happened, I know that hes the only user to leave me bad feedback. Personally thats fine, but his change in payment plans is bullsh*t, and thats why I didnt purchase from him... the fact that he agreed to something, then backed out voids the auction... which means im not lable for it, which means the unpaid item strikes are bs.

im not sure when the booted me... it was a while ago, im deployed, so i dont get on ebay at all much, and i just have figured it out. i konw i was booted before july of this year, but not sure exactly when.

yeah... i just went through and saw that one... he bought a morgan dollar from me... i shipped it, and he CLAIMED he never got it... didnt pay for insurance or anything. I even had the delivery confirmation. It was only $12, so I refunded the money to him via money order, and he claimed he never received that either. He filed a complaint with the Postal Fraud Authorities, and I showed them my proof, and they dismissed his case.

ive been suspended for a long time... like i said... im just not sure how long... at least june or july, as that was the last time i tried to use it... but possible before that. They allowed me to continue for a while as i recall, then I got on there and they had suspended me for excessive unpaid item strikes.

Let's see, he had 75 auctions up on eBay in which he states that he does not accept Paypal. You contacted him and make a deal off eBay to buy them for one price and he agrees. (Violation of eBay rules) You then said you tried to get him to accept payment through paypal. (You claimed that HE tried to change the payment terms.) He declined and you declined to go through with the deal. Somehow he managed to enter negative feedback on you for each of these auctions. (I thought this deal was done off ebay? If it wasn't, apparently a very busy person like yourslf who couldn't respond to the negaive feedacks, did find time to go to each of these auctions and bid or BIN on each of them.) I'm sorry but something just seem shaky about your story.

I simply sent him an email asking if I bought all the items, what would be a even price with shipping... basically combining shipping costs... not continuing the auction off of ebay... just getting one up front price. I then spent 15 minutes completing the buy it now, which only takes 5 seconds per auction, espically when they are all on his items for sale page. I then told him I would send the money via paypal. I asked him for his paypal address and he told me he was not going to accept paypal at that point, and asked me to use bidpay (im not a member there) or send a money order or cashiers check. I did not agree to that, since he said in his email he would take paypal, one payment to cover all of the auctions. It was completed over ebay. There isnt anything shaky about the situation, you guys are just trying to pick apart the stupidest things. Seriously, take a look at my feedback, and see what im saying. One person vs 50 others, obviously hes probably the one wrong... not me. And like I said before... I have no reason to lie to you guys, nor do I care what you think, so believe what you want. I know what happened, and I know that those who have delt with me, and those that do deal with me, and those that will deal with me in the future, will see otherwise. Thank you for your negative comment. Next time shut the f**k up!!!

Some of us have to learn about the perils of eBay the hard way. At least you didn't pay for the items and then get stiffed.

So you lost your ability to use eBay until you figure another way to use it. You'll probably be better off without it. Others here have given their opinion and also offered help. Your case may seem solid to you but not to some here. If you can't prove your case without a shadow of doubt, the best you can do is lick your wounds and learn from the experience.

I'd suggest you keep continuing your efforts trying to try to contact eBay about your greivance. They will be the only ones to be able to resolve that.

thats what im going to try and do... now that i have a phone number... i can finally get somewhere. I do have the emails from him... and i didnt violate any ebay rules (as far as completing transactions off of EBay, since all I did was ask for a flat price if I purchased all of them, which meant shipping was combined) In the email he also states he would accept paypal.

And if having 1 person leave me bad feedback and 50 leave me good feedback makes me a sh**ty ebayer, and people want to talk crap... then thats a shame... because I would be willing to bet I have purchased from 1 or more members here on ebay without knowing it.

Perhaps he has an issue or two with ebay or others. Big Deal ! Lets be mature and let this thread go if we cannot help him. I wrote yesterday to say that corporations don't really care or they would have have a vessel by which "common folks" could resolve issues. My comment about hiring a lawyer was "tongue in cheek".

But it looks like I was right. According to opinions expressed here, 30AnvZ28 should have had his attorney pose his question, so he can get back to protecting the South Koreans from the communist regime next door to him.

However, not only do corporations not care about a person's issue or problems which may or may not be all of their fault, but this forum seems bent on accusing , trying , crowning with thorns and crucifying just for asking a question, even after completely opening up as to the reason why he got the Negatives in the first place. He sounds pretty honest to me and has been on the DEFENSE since arriving..... this delegate of the good ole U S of A is doing a damn good job of taking on a whole squad by himself here, and I salute him.

eBay does not like refunding fees to sellers because they buyers did not follow througfh

the email you say you received may have gotten yiu off the hook then, may be harder now

do you have any friends with inactive accounts you can use?

Yes sir it does show how some people in America think. When someoone comes on and only gives part of the information behind a transaction leaving out vital parts and (Mentions that in the auctions he says he doesn't take paypal but leaves out the fact that in their email correspondance he did agree to take it, mentions hat he contact the seller to make a deal for all, but doesn't mention that he then completes all the auctions through eBay.) it builds up an apparent senario that does not put himself in a favorable light. This causes a thinking American to do just that. Analyze and come to a conclusion based on the information provided. That conclusion then being stated in a gentle manner.

The analysis resulted in the missing information being provided, but the subject then degrades himself by stooping to the use of vulgarities and insults. You sir, are an uncultured barbarian.

And it was not neccessary to spam the thread with all of your feedbacks. A summary statement would and did suffice. If you really thought we needed to see them, a link would have been sufficient.

In the future if you want to avoid having your ebay transactions scrutinized and your position found wanting, I would suggest ALL details be provided up front. If they aren't, do not be surprised, or offensive, if the respondants come to the wrong conclusion.

before I get accused of lying again... it wasnt 55, it was 76

yes, i can use others here at work... but i still would like my account back... I cant rely on others all the time. I know it seems like a long time to try and resolve this situation, but like I said... very rarely do I have any down time, between working 12 hours a day, and trying to manage my personal things... I simply didnt have the time. I started to appeal them, but when I realized what it took, I simply said screw it, not realizing it would come back to bite me like this.
