I've almost reached #1500 on this forum and have learned so much since May. Since I also am a Civil War buff and I love the Antietam commem which depicts the Confederate General Robert E. Lee, the prize is a very

hand painted mini sculpture of Robert E. Lee. A very well made mini-sculpture with great detail. It depicts the great Robert E. Lee checking his time piece and deciding when to send his troops into battle. Just post a coin (or coins) that are very dear to you and I will choose my top "5" favorites and draw one of those five from a hat. I'll announce the winner sometime this weekend. He's my (I don't remember how many) greats uncle.

In a strange way, this is one of my favorite coins. Got it for a buck out of a junk pile

Here's one of my favorite coins, awesome stylized tree with large leaves

that's where they stashed the Charter!
Also a very noble looking eagle, this may be my favorite representation of our national bird

I also like how all the "U"s are "V"s on this coin. Count em up!

I'm a big Civil War buff too, and am always arguing with a good friend that Lee, despite his awful gaff a Gettysburg, was a finer general than Grant. I'd love to put that statuette of Lee on his desk as a joke before retiring it to my own desk.

One interesting point about R.E. Lee, is that prior to Virginia seceding from the Union, Abraham Lincoln requested for Robert E. Lee to head up the Union Army. But Lee's loyalty to his beloved Virginia kept him from doing so, and shortly after became the leader of the South when Virginia joined the Confederacy.

Im directly related to Robert E Lee. His brother was my Grandmothers uncle...I think. Either way I know hes part of my family
