Ron is one of the good guys and is a real numismatist. I'm thrilled he's been appointed to this new position.

So wait a minute - are you telling me that a guy who used to collect Vermont copper colonials by die variety is now President of PCGS? How many people would have predicted that?

I think its simply a matter of time before we start to see fully-bearded numismatists in rumpled clothing wandering the halls in Newport Beach attributing colonials by Ryder numbers and using odd and old fashioned terminology like "Choice Very Fine".

Not to hijack the thread, but after reading the statement about Ron Guth, I was paroosing the PCGS expert staff page and noticed that Miles Standish is no longer listed.

Anyone have any info about that? Is he still with PCGS?

Congratulations to Ron Guth. PCGS will be yet a better grading service with Ron at the helm.

Miles Standish is no longer with PCGS...that was official as of Thursday.
