Penny errors
Here are some pennies I recieved in circulation. The first (1974) is a clashed die. Look closely you can see the memorial from the reverse. and the outline of Lincoln is on the reverse, but the picture of that didnt turn out very well. On the second picture (1930) the 0 is filled in, or filled die. Do you think its worth much? Tell me what you think

what is interesting is the fact you check your pocket change for errors. ;-)

Well finding a wheathead in change was a bit odd for me, as I dont find many of those.
As for the '74 I was filling in a whitman folder, and looking at it I noticed it was a clashed die.
( by the way the clashed die is much deeper in person than what the picture shows (just letting everyone know) )
Practice makes perfect & nobody is perfect. So, practice being nobody and be perfect !
Glad to see you're lookin out for us newbie's
Values vary, but the most severe clash was once listed for $8.95 in an ad I saw.

<< <i>Depending on the severity of the die clash, "Prisoner" Cents.............those that show the reverse as "Bars" across Lincoln..........are a collectable coin to some. >>
