Just so you can skip over everything else, here's the "meat" of the quitting.
#1. March 6th, 2005---While I like everyone here and learned a bunch I have to say this hobby is no longer bringing me the joy it once did. I mean with all the eBay fraud, crooked dealers and mint greed I've had it. You need tons of money to fill an album anymore and prices are just ridiculous. I was hoping I would enjoy the happiness of finding the coins I like but it has become a depressing endevor. Today finding neat stuff in change is nadda! Why bother? Now I long for the days when I had my old Lincoln folder with mediocre cents. Does anyone else share this sentiment?
#2. July 9th, 2005---Well, no more coins for me. I'm finished with the hobby. The coins are too expensive, all the good coins are gone and you get no return when you go to sell. A once enjoyable hobby has become too competitive to enjoy anymore. Have fun guys.
#3. October 21st, 2005---Thanks to everyone here for the knowledge and advice. I burried what remained of my collection after selling most of it off. Who knows, maybe some kid wil find it and start his/her own collection someday.
my prediction for #4. December 21st, 2005---While I think everyone here sucks big time and you haven't taught me squat, I have enjoyed the bickering and fighting that I can always count on to cheer me up when I can't find any nice coins to buy or I get ripped by dealers when I try to sell. Why bother trying to play with the big boys?? Why bother trying to find an untapped niche in the hobby?? Some scum bucket will just beat me when he gets the chance!!! I'm done and you guys can all bite me where it counts. As for my coins, they're all really soaking in a bucket of E*Z*Est!!!!! HaHaHaHaHa!!!!!!!!
Hey Hedger, just go rest and come back when you're refreshed. Coins rock!!!!
