Weird (but positive) eBay win
One of the weirdest (but positive) eBay experiences I've had in a while. First, this was posted with the oh-so-useful description, "Please see pictures."

...with a starting price of a buck seventy five. And then nobody bid. At all. That's pretty weird in itself.
So I got $1.10 face value in junk silver for $4.75 including shipping, with an extra random quarter thrown in, and a couple of boring pennies.
And then I looked at the boring pennies. It's not a huge dollar value, but I couldn't believe what that illegible cent at the bottom left turned out to be:

Who'd'a thunk? Gotta wonder what the seller was thinking, not giving any sort of clue...

What ever became of that 1860-O dime you scored on the German Ebay?

<< <i>Now IMO, a 1916-s Graded at least 63 R&B, worth $115, put it ina PCGS slab and its worth $225...Hmmmm, Doesn't that qualify you for a YOU SUCK award? I know it should with us Cent Collectors!

The 1860-o is still drifting through PCGS. I submitted it through a dealer, so I don't know exactly when it arrived or even what service it went in under. I suppose it could show up any day now, but the latest "got grades" post today was from 4/14, so I'm not planning on being worried for another several weeks yet. Still hoping!
