The Lakeland Collectorama Show is a combination of coins and other collectables, including post cards and other nostalgia items. Unlike most such shows that include other collectables, Lakeland has fairly large number of coin dealers who have decent stock. One of the great things about this combination is that you could bring your wife and family, and they might find something interesting while you are looking for coins. It’s definitely worth the trip if you live in the central Florida area.

The show opens to the public tomorrow, September 30. The bourse will be open from 10:00 AM until 6:00PM, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. As with most shows it’s best to come early in the day on Friday or Saturday.

I will have a table at this show, probably in the middle of the room. I always have a selection of Civil War Tokens as well as some nice certified and raw coins. Among my highlights are a $5 Indian in PCGS MS-63 and a 1932-S quarter in PCGS MS-64.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    About the show
  • That's a great show. I used to go there years ago.
It was held at the Civic Center, in downtown Lakeland. Probably still is.

  • It's a pretty decent show image I have to work on Saturday, but I should be attending for a little bit tomorrow afternoon... though, I might not... all depends on how I feel after school tomorrow... image But overall, it's generally a decent show... $3 admission, parking is free... The Convention Hall is on the North side of the Civic Center image
