No, just these boards. It means you got a great score. For example if you bought a proof set for $10 and got a 1950s DCAM coin worth $500 out of it. Or in this case someone got a bunch of NGC *s.

Yeah man I hear ya. It just "Changes" the whole look of the coin.
holders with "STARS?"
holders with "STARS?"
Always with the smartass attitude......
<< <i>BTW, do they send coins back, or just
holders with "STARS?"
Always with the smartass attitude......
Got a problem with that? Maybe, just Maybe what is considered on here to be an attitude there is a point to all of it.
Sorry, I don't try nor care to win a popularity contest in this world here.
Now, Disclosure.... In Kindergarten when they plunked those *'s on the kids foreheads I never got one.
It kinda bothered me all my life but I've moved on. Yes, I have a complex with the coveted * and when
I see all the adults posting them (stman wiping tears) it brings it all back. At least if I want a * now I know
I can pay for one just like everybody else. Hope this clears things up a bit for you.

When are you going to tell us how you are doing this toning? Please don’t give us that story about putting the coins in with mothballs for a year, I tried that, it did not work Ha Ha.
I would also like to know how many of these you send in to NGC that get bagged for AT, if you are in a conversational mode today.
Just a percentage of Bagged verses Slabbed would be fine.

I got really lucky procuring these raw Morgans as a group. As you can tell from the pics, I didn't have to worry about NT v. AT on this group...all classical Monster and Moose toning.
I really do not submit that often. Usually I buy coins already slabbed online, since I live in a small city and do not get out to shows much. But, needless to say, I have had the dreaded body bags more than I care to recount over the years!

Any idea why the 1884-O didn't get a star?
I like them all. It is funny that when I see a group of coins I always try to pick the one coin I would buy if I could buy just one. In this case it is a very hard choice!

Thanks everyone for your kind compliments...the MS-61 did not get a star since it was not at least a MS-63, which is NGC's minimal grade for the star. Ironically, it is one of the finest, neon toned reverse Morgans I have ever seen or owned! It is close to the correct grade on the money side though.

Well it would be nice if you would at least arrange the top list to match the order of the pix.
