I end up being on two sides when it comes to stuff like this.

On the one side you hate to see neophyte collectors pay $202.53 (the current bid) for coin that’s worth $12 with a tail wind. On the other side if people are that stupid, maybe they deserve what happens to them.

I know what their reaction often is to those who try to tell them that they have been had after the fact. They want to shoot the messager.

This is a 1886-O Morgan Dollar DM64. PCGS has this coin listed at $45,000. I'm starting low so bid to win! GOOD LUCK!!!

    Translation:

This is an 1886-O Morgan Dollar. There were 10 million made. If you could find one that was DMPL64, it would probably be worth $45,000. The coin you will receive cost me approximately $6 because I bought a whole bag of them for a little above melt. I have put it in this handy-dandy coin world holder that cost me $1.99. I hope you like! I'm starting low because this coin is a loser, and has been sitting in my shop case for over three years and I am sick of looking at it. I tried cleaning it real good, but it looked too fake. So I blew cigar smoke all over it. Oh, and the reverse looks worse, so I can't show it to you. I promise that the coin you receive will look just like this one, although it might not be the exact same coin since I have a whole bag of them (but you won't be able to tell because of my crappy picture). ROTS-A-RUCK, DUMB-SSES!

Believe it or not that is one of the harder date Morgans to get, I got an AU58 for $240 if it was a 61+ it would be worth $1000 or more, I think the story was, most were struck then stored, then melted during the Pittman act in 1918.......

Quite true, but this piece is a cleaned stipped out EF. It's the kind of thing you might find in a junk box of Morgan Dollars.

Yes, really nice Mint State examples are scarce, but like many Morgan dollars, circulated and clean does not amount to much.
