guess the grade -- 1956 proof Washington -- grade revealed
I've really learned alot with these threads. Here's a series I don't see many "guess the grades" on. Try and guess the grade on this one, my latest NEWP:

Since I can't see any hairlines from here I'd guess 68 Cam.

Nice coin!

CarlWohlforth was the first, followed by GaCoinGuy, Trime, and Cameonut.
The grade given by NGC is PF 68* CAM.
This was my first purchase of a "*" coin. Picked it up on Teletrade on Monday for less than the price of a normal 68. It will reside in my type set.
The coin has contact marks visible to the naked eye. Many of the marks in the photo are of dust and/or plastic particles from the NGC holder. There is what I'll describe as a milk spot below "TRUST" which is visible to the naked eye. The other visible flaw -- the break in frosting in the lower reverse lettering is much more pronounced in the photos than in hand. My guess as to why it didn't get DCAM is that the reverse cameo is not strong enough across the entire coin and the obverse, which is better, still shows some areas of lighter frosting on his neck.
All in all I like the coin, but I've not seen nearly enough of these to form an opinion as to the "*" designation over other 68 CAMs.
Thanks to all that participated. Have fun...Mike
Can't judge* unless you explain it went to NGC as PCGS doesn't use the PQ designation.
As reference, here's the NGC population on the coin (the first num is PF the second is PF *):
65: 6, 0
66: 37, 2
67: 121, 12
68: 263, 50
69: 102, 24
70: 0
