"This is over an $8 coin, right?"

Actually it was 9 dollars & some change imageimageimage

BTW, Ron Howard basically begged me over about 10 days and a dozen e-mails for a loan that I never really wanted to give him in the first place. I was just doing him a favor because all our past dealings had gone smoothly & I still respected him.

HE chose the amount of the loan. HE selected the collateral. HE selected the payment schedule. HE selected the amount the payments were to be. Unfortunately HE CHOSE to default on the loan. HE CHOSE to miss the payment on the date HE agreed to make. His coins were liquidated AT A LOSS to cover the defaulted principal.

Sorry John, if anything to do with Ron is an extortionary condition of you to stop blackmailing me then you can continue to mess with me the rest of my life for all I (& I'm sure anyone else here) care about. I must say though, this IS the first time you sounded like even half a man & not some whiny self appointed (of course just in your mind) "coin-world scam catching snitch" with their panties in a knot image

p.s. I remember that the "9295scott" ID alluded to actually got John about an extra $250 in final sales prices but only "won" a $9 coin from him - yeah, you REALLY got "messed with". Are you sure it was not YOUR shill? Your girlfriend Ron perhaps? I also remeber that the "pennyhound" bids on your most recent auctions also helped push up the final sales prices of your items by hundreds of dollars. Then, the 2 items you relisted sold for hundreds more the second time around on top of that. No, it's not about money. Nahhh. image

p.p.s. "No, I did not identify myself nor did he ask." You're a liar John. You gave a false name & said you were from Cincinatti.

So let's assess. You just woke up one day and thought it your mission in life to determine the current status of the business relationship between me & Roger A. As if anyone that needs to know doesn't already & like anyone else even cares. You're pathetic dude.

Yeah. or three. That's what puzzles me.

1 for a travel business I USED to own. 2 that at one time had nothing to do with each other that are now used for a coin business - each sorta specializing in different things. 1 of which that was started to be able to separate out the coins from the travel (I'll let you guess which one that was TOO) and the other was originally a personal one of someone I became a partner with and one that's basically inactive that belonged to my wife.

p.s. John, why don't you go on a crusade against someone like THIS!

  • Hey Roger,

Another nice “only” response. I have a challenge for you. See if you can write an entire paragraph….no wait, better just start off with a sentence, that is mature, professional and deals with the point at hand.

You are a “dealer”, correct? Some may believe there is some level of professionalism to be expected with that.

Here’s a pair of simple questions that would require yes or no answers:

    1) Did you falsely create the 9295scott account to mess with me?
    2) Did you conspire with Ron Howard to purchase from me without my knowledge?

Now, you can rant, call names and act (again) like a little boy or you can come clean. I strongly suggest you do the latter. I think at this point the truth would benefit you greatly and it would be a great first step towards your growing up a bit.

As far as the people that posted and said they will simply never buy from anyone posting on this thread, I congratulate you! I agree whole-heartedly. Don’t buy from me, John Scott (ebay jscott83) or from Roger Barone (ebay names tts-too, rellaa, ttsd, jdenab, 9295scott, these are just the ones I know of). I think that is by far the best suggestions I have read regarding the issue.

    Thank you!

"1) Did you falsely create the 9295scott account to mess with me?
    2) Did you conspire with Ron Howard to purchase from me without my knowledge?"

As for #1: If you can answer as to what the NET economic benefit/cost of the bids of 9295scott were to you I'd answer that question point blank. You also must state an economic definition of "messing with you". Some might say that "messing with your mind" and "messing with your money/business" - as in tortious interference or inducement to breach (as to other potential bidders) are 2 vastly different things.

Also answer as to whether or not I've ever sold you a coin that you paid for & I failed to deliver or if I ever bought a coin from you that I was willing to pay for but that didn't because I reneged.

As for #2: Ron Howard (a.k.a. pennyhound here & on eBay) said to me specifically, repeatedly, and point blank that he NEVER indicated to you that the purchases made by pennyhound were on my behalf. Are you publicly stating that if in fact he said that that he must've lied to me? As for the word conspire, the cannotation is so negative, biased, and inflamatory that it makes it hard to even answer. Sort of like asking you if you're still beating your dog.

p.s. John, I'd also like to know if you reduced the amount of money you collected from the winners of the auctions that 9295scott & pennyhound bid on to essentially negate the effect of the bids that were apparently so repulsive to you or did you just collect the money and reap the financial beniefit of those bids? In my estimate well over $500 for the listings you didn't relist and another $250-300 (so all told about $750 give or take) for the ones you did relist after you reneged on the 2 pennyhound won. image

If you call that "messing with you" PLEASE find a way to "mess" with me and raise the final sales prices of my auctions. image

p.p.s. I just got back from church John & I genuinely did pray for you. Have a nice day imageimage
  • Roger,

Nice dance, I’m sure you impressed, well, yourself. Try, if you can, to stick just this once to the specific subject, okay? Then you can rifle off into left field and I’ll answer your…whatever you want to call it.

You have proven on this thread as well as others that you are incredibly immature, a liar and overly emotional. I’m sure at a minimum many have noticed how you handle and react to conflict and to getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar. Maybe you just never received that little moment with your father when you’re taught the truth is the best policy.

Now, just try to grow up for a few seconds, quit trying to use big words, smoke and mirrors and answer, straight forward like a man, yes or no. It’s very simple, try it.

As far as the dealings with Ron, I have no way of knowing what he told you, all I have is what he wrote. I think he has it all posted on a website, I’ll see if I can get an address and post it if you would like.

Remember, take a deep breath, try to focus and be a big boy and simply answer the questions, yes or no.

This is the last time I’ll offer up a civilized way to resolve this. The ball is in your court.

    Thanks for the Prayer!

Who the heck do you think you are that I'm gonna let YOU dictate what, when, how, & in what order I do whatever in? image

"This is the last time I’ll offer up a civilized way to resolve this."

PLEASE resolve this the UN-civilized way. I'll take that as yet another threat or did I misunderstand you? image

"Oddly he throws several names at Ron Howard, who just a month ago was good enough to borrow money from Roger ..."

He did me a favor by borrowing money at 0% interest?

"Last he asks why my threads go poooooof? The answer (which he is quite aware of) is because he contacts PCGS, throws a fit because his name is in them and they delete them."

Never EVER not EVEN 1 time! Either you're lying agian or offering yet another COMPLETELY UNSUBSTANTIATED ASSERTION (sorry if the words were too big again)!

"So, Roger, here is a personal note to you. I have had many people ask me what it’s going top take to put this all behind us, some of which have been associates / friends of yours."

That's impossible! How can a cancerous pathological compulsive liar that's the most dishonest coin seller (or person for that matter) since the beginning of time have ANY friends or associates?

This is still too confusing for me. I do understand the part about the 9295scott account. That is quite a bit to go through just to hose someone on ebay.

This Ron Howard/Pennyhound stuff is still too hard for me to follow. Maybe someone will make a documentary or mini-series (starring Jane Seymour) about it and make it easier for someone who is casually interested in the issue (but intensely interested in the battle).

The only take home lesson I have is to never enter a coin transaction with someone named Roger or from any of the ebay accounts listed in this thread.

  • Come on Roger…..you can do it! We know you can.

Try once more. I think even the people that are sick of this thread are waiting to see if you can muster up the courage and ability to tell the truth just this once. I also think most if not all can see through all your smoke and hot air now.

They were simple questions that just require a yes or no. Try extra hard, okay!

The answers are already quite obvious or you would have simply answered “no” long ago.

Maybe everyone on this thread could send a little encouragement Roger’s way and help support him in his first attempt of coming clean.

    PS: To russ……bullseye!
