58, just a guess. Nice looking type coin though. Is that a Lg. date or Sm. date ? image

Maybe my eyes are gonig and I am not using my best monitor but I don't see any rub and it has the sharpness of a proof. Could be deeply toned proof. At the risk of being way off the mark I'll guess PR64.

MS-64. It's a nice iron gray silver coin with an exceptional strike.

It might be higher than that, but it's hard to make that call from a photo.

MS-63... I wish I had it in my type set to go with the attached. I really like that example (nice ones are not easy to find it seems), very nice coin.image

The No Stars Dime is MANY times harder to find in the higher grades than the No Stars half dime. When I was completing my type set for the first time (excluding the 1796-7 half dollar), the No Stars half dime was the last coin I needed and I found it tough to find.

  • Maybe ms66 prob.64 thou but I'll stick with 66.

So, when you gonna tell us?

That is one of my favorite designs. And the others are right - good ones are very hard to come by.
Who is General Failure, and why is he reading my hard drive?

Well the trouble is the dark areas on Ms. Liberty's theigh and breasts. Are they toning marks, or are they a slight rub? You've got to see the coin in person.

    66. Wow.

I knew it was awesome, but...

  • My guess wasn't based on color or discoloring that happens too often in pics (shadows and all).

The hairlines arrows rim edge lettering everything all intact!!! imageimage

Knew it had to be high.....but it is hard to tell from a pic.

Really hard to grade grey toned coins from the picture rub is hard to ascertain on the high points; luster hard to discern. Fields are really clean though. Cudos to Virtual Won.
I think I recall Laura buying a high grade example of this coin at a Superior auction a few years ago.
