    I have the remnants of a full set...that I never completed. 50-100.

Problem is, I SOLD all the ones that were really worth anything. image

I wouldn't give my Morgans the honor of being a collection image However, I do own a good number probably numbering 20 or so.

I can't believe I'm the only one to vote 1000+ so far, I figured there would be a lot of people in that category.

I'm sure there will be after we get several more votes.

I have 2 - A beautiful album-toned NGC MS65 1900 that is part of my 20th Century Type set, and a GSA 1883-CC that I keep for its history as an intersting type coin. Actually, I have owned the 1883 since I was a kid - paid for it with lawn mowing money - it's actually got some interesting clash marks.

I also own another dozen or so that were part of a cache my father saved from his childhood - together we polished the hell out of them - I don't really count them as part of my collection though.

Are we counting 1878-S Morgans only or all Morgans?image I don't have as many as you but I'm probably a distant second or third. . .image

I have a full set so that is at least 100. Probly around 40 others. I don't have an exact count.

I have an "all mints" collection (the 5 Morgan dollar mints + a coin that shows the obverse), and an 1878 variety collection (5 coins). These are in Capital Plastic holders. Oddly enough there is no spot for the 1878 third reverse variety in the 1878 variety set. So I've got the sixth coin lose outside of the set. I've also got an 1882-CC in a GSA holder and box. That gives me an unlucky 13 Morgan dollars in my collection.

I've dabbled with doing a one a year set a couple times, but ended up losing interest in it. image
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
