This could be one that's painted to look cameo.
That said, however, I would gladly take the coin off your hands (if it is authentic and not artifically frosted) and put it in my Capital Proof Frankie Holder as an upgrade to the existing 1961. That way it will look just like its 1951-54, 56-58, 60, 62 & 63 brothers (which look like Russ's pictured 1961 and clearly are not CAMDCAM). What is your asking price (if you have one)? PM me if you would be open to selling it to me raw.

If it DCAM's and recieves a 67 or higher grade, I bet you could sell it to R&I Coins for $250.00 and then see it marketed for more than the current $3,000.00 plus sales prices on smoe 1964 AH DCAM proofs.

Actually, if it were a DDR that looked like this one, $1000 wouldn't even buy a day pass to get in to the auction when it sold.

To my eye, it is a lock cameo, probably a dcam. Not the big DDR (as you know) but the other three DDR's have slight doubling of EPU.
If it doesn't cam - I'll be happy to buy it from you.

There really is no "rest of the story". It's a strong cameo plus coin grading PR67 to PR68. My question was facetious.
