I have discovered a new inexpensive coin hobby!

Since I can't afford most of the beautiful coins, I would like to own, I have decided to capture them on disc. Now when ever I see a picture of a coin I would love to own, I just click the save this image box that comes up, and bingo, I can save to to my pictures folder. do others do this as well?.
I have read where many of you only get to look at your bank valted collections via pictures. Now when I see a 1794 Flowing Hair dollar or a beautiful Rainbow Toned Morgan, click and I own it. You should see my collection, i'ts magnificent. I own ferrets drinking beer, and wearing bow ties. I went to an auction site and now own over 50 rainbow Morgans. This is fun! image

It makes it a lot easier to store and care for them.

There is someone on the currency board who does that with Fed Reserve notes.

I have most of my collection photographed and CU is storing more and more "little pictures" here has I use them for posts.

Still it does not compare with the real thing.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

Sounds like a fine ( actually at least MS67 ) idea to me. I'd like to see it taken a step further and have someone issue a card set of excellent Coin Pics. Any takers ? Legend? Smithsonian? PCGS? Accut**ds?

They could pack these up like Baseball cards and to spur on sales there could be redemption cards for many actual choice Coin specimens.

Anyone in the mood to buy a few packs, boxes, cases?

And to think I'm just throwing this idea out into the public domain. image

Anybody put it in motion and make millions with it ... please ... just give me a free 1922 Matte Proof Peace Dollar Card in payment. If in a real generous mood how about a Full Strike 1921 Peace Dollar Coin (PCGS of course ).imageimageimageimage

You can't beat the real thing. However it does get quite expensive to collect coins.
