The close up pic that shows the weave is amazing. You can actually see the individual threads. I don't think I've ever seen a better example of textile toning. I'm not crazy about the coin though.
I like it overall...I am not fond on toning that turns that dark, but I do think the coin will look a tad bit better in hand and the textile pattern is simply amazing. Not sure it's worth the opening bid for me...but I would pay a premium for sure.
I noticed..but it's not as hard as the 82, no n on her neck.
Did you see how the frost extends off of the devices into the fields, kind of following the clash? I have been trying to fiqure out why it does that. It has to be a die polishing issue, but I haven't quite got my head wrapped around how it happens yet. Does anyone know? It kind of reminds me of Russ's artifically frosted coins.
