Can you buy coins at the post office and is this recommeneded?
I've heard a few people talk about getting coins at the post office.....are they just getting certain denominations or can you get any coins at the post office and if so, why do people get them there VS the bank?
Thanks

With that said, I don't think this is what anybody is referring to.

<< <i>Actually, I do believe that they sell statehood quarters. They may be together with a stamp. >>
Yeah ... joint venture with the mint ... first day of issue cover with statehood quarter and a "Greetings from America" stamp. Post office is supposed to do half the sales and the mint the other half.

<< <i>I'm pretty sure you can get Sacs if you buy stamps at the machines at the PO. Circulated Sacs are kind of a modern rarity
My PO gives Sacs and SBA's in it's vending machine. Get them there all the time.
(BTW, I found a 2000 Sac dollar with my detector the other day. That was a bit of a surprise. My first dug dollar!)
