Need Help! Quarter Swiss Bern!
I won this item and recieved the coin today. I looks nice in hand but looks devoid of luster and has quite a bit of damage. It looks whizzed or something of the sort. My question is why didn't ANACS say this on the holder. Is this common for older swiss coins? I am not sure as to what to do with it. Any help would be appreciated. Here are some photos.

Ok. That's pretty cool. But what about the lack of luster? Is it common for this coin in AU53 to lack luster? Also can someone tell me the mintage?

I agree that the marks are obviously adjustment marks (which would've been done on the planchet with a file, prior to striking).
Overall, it looks OK to me!

My experience with Anacs tells me that sometimes they might not mention the "problem" but still downgrade the coin accordingly.
