I'll be there. Don't know what time yet, though. It depends on how much work my slave driving dickhead of a boss dumps on me.

Russ will have it all cleaned out by Friday at 3pm, but I plan on going.
At a minimum, I will go on Saturday for a bit. But, I will try to get there a little on Friday (depends on work/traffic in the afternoon.....already told my team/boss that I had planned to be out "sick" on Friday afternoon image )

  • I'll be there on Saturday -- it would be fun to hook up with fellow board members.

I was planning on going saturday. Thanks for telling me it starts today, now I am itching to get out of here at lunch.....

I have never met anyone from the boards- lunch or a meet would be cool.

Don't forget, today it opens at 12 noon to the public, not 10 AM. You can pay earlybird of $30 if you want to get in at 10 AM, though. Tomorrow and Sunday are both regular 10 AM opening.

It's looking more and more like I will show up tomorrow and not today image

I will shoot for 10:15am though for Saturday

I think I am getting outta work at noon to go today, but will probably go tomorrow as well...
  • So ... if people are interested in getting together tomorrow ... where and when?
  • I just got to work. I have to work both days so I won't be there.

I went for a short while. Seemed well attended, and there was a lot of activity. I picked up a Lincoln/Illinois commem, PCGS64--because I love the portrait of Lincoln. There's a little more color in it than my photo shows.

No need for anybody to waste time heading there tomorrow. Clankeye bought the only nice coin in the place.

PS: I caught him searching proof sets!

Let me say, watching Russ search through proof sets for cameos brings to mind Michael Jordan going airborne for the slamdunk, Tiger Woods sinking the impossible putt, or a drunken Broadway Joe Namath hitting on a television reporter... the best of the best of the best. image

But, Russ is correct, I bought the only nice coin in the joint.

So, Clank ... let's see the coin. Glad Russ' putrid boss unleashed him from the bonds of servitude in search of the holy grail of profit. image

I plan to be there tomorrow between 10-10:30 arrival.

    Shall see how it is...

Just got back from Saturday at the show. It really was pretty humming down there. A good turnout.

I got to meet Bochiman and Clackamas--both very nice guys. Good to put faces to the forum handles. And of course we all hung out with Russ for a while. He's mad at me because I bought this before he had a chance to nab it:

It's actually a pretty fun coin. The toning is very irridescent. That I finally purchased a Kennedy proves how corrosive this forum can be.image

    Fun show.

  • I didn't meet up with anyone, but I did manage to buy some nice liberty seated coins for my type set. I'll have to post pictures once I take 'em...

I offered Clank a HUGE OBSCENE profit right on the spot, and he turned up his nose at me!

I don't know who said that, but I think someone did.

I couldn't take that HUGE OBSCENE profit from you, Russ. Not and sleep well at night.

My two show purchases. Lincoln and Kennedy.
