Toned Morgan question.... edit now with link

This guy is selling toned Morgans on Ebay and I am wondering if the toning would be considered natural? I just wanted the opionins of the boards. Thanks

Sorry about that. Here is the link to the auctions:

Let's see if this fixes it.

Most of his coins are PCGS and NGC graded examples. The problem with bondman is he tweaks the images to the point of looking very unnatural. He's had several complaints about the coins looking nothing like the images.

He is signed up here. A couple of years ago when he was getting roasted pretty good he blocked a bunch of posters here.

It's good to know these things. I'm glad that I haven't bid on anything yet.

I wholeheartedly DO NOT recommend him at all. After listening to my advice so well, I caved in and bought one coin from him... that was my mistake. It was an "endroll toned" dollar with crisp blue and gold lines, as a normal endroll coin would have. In hand, I couldn't tell it was an endroller, or that there was any gold... just an ugly coin with some dark blue/grey toning and poor lustre.

In fact, here's my post when this all took place: link

Oh, and even my picture shows the color better than you can see with your naked eye

I've always been tempted to buy a morgan from him, but the pictures always look too manipulated to me.....

Jeremy, what was the conclusion to that deal? How did he respond to your email, and did you get your money back?

He refunded everything including return postage... Mark Feld helped write a very stern letter image

Okay, then the followup question: Did he relist it with the same tweaked image? (I probably already know the answer to this one)

Wow. That must have been disappointing but at least you got your money back. Thanks for the good advice.

I think he got more the second time around, too imageimageimageimageimageimage:

It's not like the coin even looked CLOSE to his photo... the crescents, well, they rarely come really muted (albeit, some do), but not to the point of being almost invisible. This coin, me must have photo'd and while playing with the picture, been absolutely astounded at the pattern that appeared image

Well, you've been here for about the same amount of time as I have, and you know the routine with bondman. I'm really surprised you even bid on one of his coins, but I bet you won't be doing that again.
