Size of $1 gold coin?

Sorry, I hit wrong key a minute ago.
Having never seen one, I was wondering, What is the diameter of the one dollar gold coin?

and think of it this way if you had a gold dollar type three and put it on top of a roosie dime the gold dollar would fit with room to spare so you could still see an outline of the dime with the gold dollar sitting on top of the dime
and the gold dollar is approx half the thickness of a roosie dime
and the type one is even smaller diameter 13 mm
Indian head 15mm

Therefore the Red Book calls it the smallest U.S. coin.
The type one gold dollar has the smallest diameter, and it WAY smaller than a modern dime.

California small denomination gold, $0.25 gold piece, is even smaller.
