I'll gamble on CAM possibilities in SMS sets, but that kind of money? In-hand only ... if the JFK does not go DCAM you're losing money on this one at current price.
How come life-long collectors like this seller all of a sudden forgot how to grade once they list on ebay? "I'm a collector not a grader.....so judge for yourself?" You'd think a long term collector would be proud to be able to accurately list a coin's good or bad points. Now those are wannabe's.
<< <i>Congrats Doops. Post what it grades if you get a chance. >>
from the 8 or 9 very clear pics at straight on and mirrors angles with no loss whatsoever on the eagle's shield nor bottom eagles feathers, plus all rim devices fully covered with no breaks i'm thinking 67dcam+ if not the max 68dcam. theres not an inkling on the half i can't curate into a dcam holder. the nick got 4 pics straight on and angled for mirror strenth is a lock 67cam+++ potential dcam-,just let me get em in the holders. it'll be a FAT score. of course, that's what we do. i dont pay 300 bux for a 66sms unless it's at least a five-fold,possibly 20+fold. a fold, nevertheless..... of course our best hits come in in sealed outer boxes of 10,20,25,50 at 10 over ask. i enjoy it but DONT do it for the fun.. heh....
What hath thou wrought, Your Madness? Imitation and all that. Hey. there was eight seconds left after his bid, more than enough time to get it up to $400

Hi Doops, I'm sure he will chime in, it was way to rich for my blood. I guess you and Russ saw different things with the pictures. I would be real interested to see the final PCGS grade on this one. When all is said and some someone will have the last laugh! Either Russ or Doops. Personally, I still like the $25 one way better than this one. Now someone got a deal there!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
Hey, Doop, AKA Pepperdoodles is back! Things are going to get a lot tougher on EBAY now for all the pikers! Uh, for those who dont kown what a piker is, insert cheap charlie. The King aint dead, long live the King!
In an insane society, a sane person will appear to be insane.
It would be fun if Doops or someone else could post the additional pictures the seller sent out --- then we could have a poll about the predicted grade!!
The mirrors on that half must have looked much, much better in the pics the seller didn't post with the auction. Looking at pics posted with some other of the sellers auctions showing mirrors/contrast I wouldn't be betting on a lock DCAM with this coin. Very few are "locks" anyway. It would be interesting to see some of the additional pics though...
Accroding to Russ there was frost in the fields on the reverse of the coin, thus keeping it out of a DCAM designation. But what the hell do I know, I'm just a wannabe wannabe who has never been!

it's all in the professional curation process, you oughta know that, except mine are different and would scare most wannabe wannabee's into the delicately rigorous exactities of the process. same as NCS

Nice try, dooper. Mint frost consists of microscopic planchet ticks and is not something that can be conserved away. Too many, and the frosty effect reduces the mirror depth and clarity enough to prevent the coin from grading DCAM. This coin has too many.
You just dropped over $300 on an MS66CAM.

yeah, that's why those 2 64 ah sets you were ha ha ha'ing about i bought for 150 and 180 yeilded a 65dcam and a 68cam to the net tune of $1300 which really was'nt thatgood of a hit but when it's at least a hit, nevertheless, you take it

Another nice try, gomer. I track the pops for Accented Hairs every week and know when every DCAM was made over the last three years. Last year there were seven made total. Six of those were made by a single dealer on one submission - not you - and the seventh was made by Marty. You're trying to BS the wrong guy.
The only way you're getting a DCAM out of that 1966 SMS is if you submit it to Cammie at ICG.

prove it cheapuruss ! and wanna bet? you dont know what we do or who all the half dozen we do it through.....so... ya'll lay off, when it's not a $10 rip riding all over town or scourering chump boarse bumpins or a missed ebay rip you get sc-sc-sc-scared......put your bux down if you want to be a producer. steady at it with shuckin the bux ALWAYS yields the dollars. pissin here, pissin there may make you a few keepers, it wont make you a lot of money in a short time though.. dont be offended, just dont act like no exputt which you aint !
