I would pay this much for one like the linked auction.
  • Can someone Post a picture of the 2000 A M? I want to compare mine with another one.

Here's Ken Potter's scoop on the Wide AMs.

1999 is definitely the rareity of the series. Only 36 have been graded to date at PCGS, with 10 in 64, 10 in 65, 10 in 66 and 6 in 67. A 66 will be between $650-$800 anyhow, and the 67 will sell well north of a grand.

dpoole, I'm a buyer if you're referring to PCGS graded ones - I'll take ALL you got. image

Speaking of Ken Potter, (for those that want a little market background on this coin) he was selling a PCGS graded MS66RD one for $2,500 last week on eBay. He has a habit of changing up his listings though in mid-stream so I can't find a link. $2,500 is a little strong though for a PCGS graded MS66RD IMHO. Last one we sold in 66RD went for $1,750 about 5 months ago. We do have a PCGS MS67RD one though now.

Ken was also selling a PCGS MS65RD one for $850 very recently.

Ken's site is also very informative as to what the markers are for this variety.

  • Hi,Just going thru my pocket change,i found 2 pennies with a wide A M and the Fg very close to the memorial.one is a 1977 and the other is a 1987.Does that put them in the same catagory as the 1998,1999 and 2000?Not into penny collecting, that is why i am asking. Thanks
  • segoja,
